The patented one way valve system has minimum airway resistance and provides extremely effective viral and bacterial filtration, which prevents contaminants from reaching the rescuer. The filter is strategically located above the one way valve system to prevent blood, vomit or debris from saturating the filter, rendering it inoperable.
